Introduction
Medicine is very important things to all people. There is no single man who never took medicine in his life. Bangladesh is a developing country. Most of the people of Bangladesh live below the poverty line. So, they do not get sufficient nutritious food. Most of the people of the country suffer from various diseases for lack of nutritious food. So medicine is necessary for Bangladesh is very urgent. New medicines are introduced with the development of the modern technology gradually. Suppose that a few days ago dengue fever breakout in Bangladesh. So, there is no doubt of importance of medicine now-a-days.
Bangladesh is going to be self-dependent in medicine industry. Chemico Laboratories Ltd. produce 136 kinds of medicine and it is very important self dependent in medicine industry of the country. Chemico Laboratories Ltd. produce both costly and cheaply medicine for the all kinds of consumers.
The head office of the Chemico Laboratories Ltd. is situated at Shegun Bagicha in Dhaka-1000. It’s main factory at Tika para, Ghoramara, Rajshahi.
At present the owners of the company are –

· M.D MST. Nurul Islam Arora
· Director K.B. Rahman
The term marketing planning is used to describe the methods of applying marketing resources to achieve marketing objectives. it is used to segment markets, identify market position, forecast, market size, and plan viable market share within each market segment. To assist this goal company has selected 5C approaches. The 5C’s are-
a) Clarity of Vision
b) Community
c) Consistency
d) Confidence
e) Control
All this factors ever changing customer’s choice, preferences, tastes, modern technology and high completion have made business very dynamic and complex in modern days. Consequently well marketing plan is essential for a firm as every firm has to trace the environmental change and perform their duties according to a proper plan. Marketing plan thus aims to target market and consist of the detailed marketing strategies and programs for achieving the products objectives in a target market. In fact, it is the main tool or coordination of all the marketing efforts. More ever, it is also aiding to make organization’s customer and competitors, company’s goal oriented and they are reasonable and more realistic.
From the beginning the Chemico Laboratories Ltd. is trying to satisfy their customer.
Origin of the Report
The report has been prepared fulfill the requirement of the internship program held by R.U. The course in the internship program, which is designed to equip the students with knowledge about the real life-working environment and to develop their work related skills at the end of the course, students need to submit a written report.
The internal & external supervisors help the students to choose a topic to work with the help of the external supervisor the students find out the various problems of the company and their area of interest, which helps them, defines problem areas and ascertains a report topic.
I am doing my internship program on Chemico Laboratories Ltd. at Rajshahi and Dhaka office. The title of my report is Marketing Plan on Chemico Laboratories Ltd. for the year 2005-06.
Objectives of the Report
The specific objectives of my report are-
· To analysis the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat (SWOT Analysis).
· To evaluate the strategies.
· To suggest effective marketing plan.
Limitations of the Study
The following limitations I faced when I producing the report. The limitations are as follows:
Shortage of time
The department of marketing has given us a little time to do this work. It is very clear that it is very insufficient time to collect the relevant data from total area of Bangladesh about the chosen company.
Limitations of data
The company’s head office is situated in Dhaka and its factory is situated in Rajshahi. So, the company does no provide statistical data without the permission of the Head Office. As a result, it is not possible to present statistical analysis based on numerical data, which can provide actual performance of the study.
Shortage of knowledge
Company’s MPO’s and employees are not well knowledge about modern marketing concept. So, for this reason, their answers are not subjective.
Others Limitation
· The Chemico Laboratories Ltd. is a private company. They do not disclose published all the original data. moreover, due to the real circumstances.
· I have no adequate money for the study.
Methodology of the Study
The study is a survey type of research. Methodology is very essential for any kinds of research problem. In this report I have used the following methods-
Sample area
For my research study I have selected whole Bangladesh as my sample area without two district. I collected information from Dhaka and Rajshahi.
Sample size
In a sample, how many units are needed the size of those unit called sample size. The success of a research is each dependant on the size of the sample size. From a sample size it becomes very difficult to measure the result. We have selected the sample size with randomly.

Sources of data
The sources of data depend on the nature of needed data. Data have been collected from both primary and secondary sources for the purpose of my internship report.
We can collect the data by two ways-
· Primary data collection method
· Secondary data collection method
Primary data collection method
From the fieldwork the primary data is collected when the data is collected from the sample survey or other process that is called primary data. Primary data can be collected by many ways, such as-
a) Personal interview
b) Mail survey
c) Telephone survey, etc.
Among the three classes I have applied one class (personal interview).
Secondary data collection method
For secondary data collection I took the help of different kinds of book, journal, published and unpublished reports articles, office record, statistical yearbook etc.
Preparing questionnaire
The questionnaire is the list of question to be asked sample units is called questionnaire. The language of the questionnaire must be simple, unambiguous, unvague, as the respondent can easily understand. I had to prepare the various types of questionnaires.
a) Open ended question
b) Close ended question
c) Scale based question
Pretest of questionnaire
In order to verify the questionnaire the researcher is bounded to pretest his questionnaire whether the question is appropriate or not. The researcher can easily identify the unnecessary, difficult, ambiguous, double barred etc questions.
Executive Summary
Chemico Laboratories Ltd. is a new growing pharmaceuticals company in the country. It was established in 1986. Consequently medicine seems to generate significant increase in sales, profit and market share over the preceding years. At present 62 districts of 6 divisions are in the C.L. Ltd. but company is trying to include 64 districts. They want to go foreign market within next three year.
The strategies will be implemented through cost-cutting in manufacturing and marketing, increasing productivity expanding total market, participating in public campaign training and motivational incentives to the employees. All managers will be responsible for their assign task.
