RESULT
On the basis of observed information’s it can be stated that all the markets are not equivalent, there are various differences with one another. If the markets are compared then it is seen that total condition of Binodpur Bazar is well in all respects. Fishes of different species are found here but price is very high here. The numbers of go-downs are comparatively more than the other two. The condition of Talaimari Bazar fish market is also well but it is small in size. Here the total member of shop is 5 and 4 shops are roofted and 1 shops are roofless. There have no electrical facilities here and drainage system is very poor. Kazla Bazar fish market is very small in size. There are 4 shops here among them 4 shops are roofted. There are no facilities of electricity and drainage system here. The number of fishes species are very low from our overall observation we can say that Binodpur Bazar fish market is the best among the three markets that we have observed.
OPINION AND DISCUSSION
According to the buyers, fishes are not found in the market of huge amount like past. So, the price of fishes is increasing day by day. The nutritious indigenous fishes are being extinguished due to over fishing gradually. The indigenous fishes are very costly while the exotic fishes are sold at cheep rate. As a result, buyers are interested to exotic fishes though their less testy than the indigenous fishes. They also have to face some problems to buy fishes for their high price.
According to the sellers, at present the imported fishes are very much available in the market than the indigenous fishes. The indigenous fishes are more demanded but the buyers are not interested to these because of high price. Moreover they buy the exotic fishes for their low price. According to few sellers, they feel no problems during fish selling.
If the opinion of buyers and sellers in reviewed then we can see that the price of indigenous fish is very high than that of exotic fish. But the indigenous fishes are much demanded than the exotic fishes.
CONCLUSION
Bangladesh is gifted of fisheries resources. Here in agro-based economy fisheries see for plays an important role. The fish market and marketing system are involved to improve our rational economy. Different the three observed fish markets of Rajshahi city. Maximum fish market in Rajshahi City Corporation has not good facility and no so well developed. There are available fish supply in the observed fish market. But all markets are not scientifically running. All the middleman take high amount maintaining the quality of fishes. All observed markets environments are not so good. Government should take necessary steps to monitor these activities and all facilities for seller and buyer. To increase supply of fish in market must be cultured fish of demandable species such as- Rui, Catla, Silver Carp, Bighead Carp, Mrigel etc. There is very necessity of supply ice in the market. Must be development structural condition of fish Market.
A student must have to acquire practical knowledge beside theoretical knowledge. After finishing fish market observation, we are now able to compare our theoretical knowledge with the practical situation. We are also able to know the present situation of fish market. We also able to know about different types of fishes, their present condition, threatened fishes, demandable and less demandable fishes and the physical structure of the fishes. We also come to know about the problems and requirements of the sellers and buyers.
As a student of B.Sc. Fisheries (Hon’s) this study help as to acquire a lot of practicable knowledge about fish market and marketing system which will help as to improve our national economy.
